When not to be on the Spit
We had a huge lightning storm around the house last night, and our webcam captured lightning striking what looks like the end of the Spit. The storm lasted a few hours in the early morning, and strikes could be seen all around us every 10 to 15 seconds. It was quite a show that lasted for about 45 minutes, and I watched it all from our porch. The pictures from the webcam were an unexpected bonus.
