New Front Steps
We’ve expanded (just slightly) the tiny front steps to enter the house. Making these a little bigger means it’s a lot easier to get in and out through the front door. The previously steps were clearly sized for gnomes.
Hawks in the Neighbor’s Yard
Kathy took this picture of a Red Tailed Hawk in our neighbor’s yard. While seeming innocuous, it quickly swooped down and ate a rabbit. If you have a miniature poodle, owner beware!
Up On The Roof
With the help of Derrick, our skilled and adventurous contractor, I scaled the roof, to see what a bird’s eye view would be. The view was as breathtaking as he promised, but I had to dig deep to find the courage to climb down the ladder. Going up seemed simple by comparison.
Fishing on the Spit
Sam and I ventured out to the end of the spit for sunset and sunrise fishing. The weather was a perfect Fall day, and the sunset and sunrise was picture perfect. The fact that the fish eluded us was of minor consequence, as we enjoyed every moment.
