Construction starts
As of Nov 11, 2010, construction on the house begins. We’re adding a full basement, and another bedroom and porch on the ground floor. Digging up the Back Lawn
Despite our best efforts to keep the Bittersweet at bay, we lost the battle with many of the bushes and a few of the trees. Our best option was to rip out anything the Bittersweet touched, and plant again. The trees come in next week (whew).
New Front Steps
We’ve expanded (just slightly) the tiny front steps to enter the house. Making these a little bigger means it’s a lot easier to get in and out through the front door. The previously steps were clearly sized for gnomes.
